Cathedral Square
The Square is a pedestrian mall, and parking is not permitted. The few carparks outside the Cathedral are reserved for disabled or authorized parking only. Illegally parked cars can be fined or towed to ensure pedestrian safety.
Discounted Parking for Cathedral Events
We are grateful to Wilson’s Parking for offering discounted rates at two nearby car parks for Mass and special events.
1. Hobson Street Carpark (Farmers WP98)
- Discounted Fee: $4.50 for 3 hours.
- Availability: After 6 pm Monday to Friday and all weekend.
- Method: You must use the ParkMate App.
2. Durham Lane Carpark
- Discounted Fee: $3 for 3 hours.
- Availability: From 6 pm Monday to Friday and all weekend.
- Method: This car park uses a paper ticketing system and requires validation at the Cathedral.
- Validation: Bring your ticket to the Cathedral. The validator is by the noticeboards in the
entrance foyer.
ParkMate App Instructions
1. Download the App (Apple Store or GooglePlay) and set up your account.
2. Find Farmers WP98 on the map and make it your Favourite.
3. Enter your Promocode: STPATS. This reduces the fee to $4.50.
4. Once parked, click on your Favourites icon, and scroll down to Confirm and Start Parking.
Note: The camera scans your number-plate. Casual rates apply after 3 hours.
