The Catholic Bishops of Aotearoa NZ have decided that we will be celebrating the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Patronal Feast Day of New Zealand,  on Sunday 14 August 2022 instead of the Monday.  This is to coincide with the Mass of Dedication of St Mary of the Angels Wellington as the National Shrine to Mary, Mother of God, Assumed into Heaven on Sunday.
